Any MVHR unit will need the filters checked at least every 6 months. Filters must be changed a minimum of every 12 months but this is subject to the environment in which you live. Filters being used in urban areas will need more regular changes, often every 3 to 6 months.
Ideally at a 5-year period the system should be checked by a fully qualified specialist to confirm operation is to standard.
